An interesting twist on the HOPA genre- where the puzzles take the spotlight, and the hidden object are "extras", instead of the other way around. The game is not simple and easy. At least, not if you solve the puzzles yourself. I recommend not using any guides or walkthroughs, work the logic puzzles out, slowly, restart if needed. There is no rush, no need to have perfect timing and you can reset the puzzles if needed. There are hints, which is one of the reasons you want to find some of the hidden objects, to charge the hints up. I used none, but I also restarted a number of puzzles when I became flustered by them. Relax, play at your own pace. This is more than the average laser-and-mirrors minigame from a typical HOPA game. The mirrors have different shapes, that reflect the light differently, other pieces teleport the light, store it, change the color of it, ect. the progression of difficulty in the puzzles is mostly linear, and well paced, no huge or dramatic jumps in difficulty. The game allows you to get used to each new element with an easier puzzle when a new piece is introduced, then the progression steps back to where it was. It felt smooth, a nice slope to the difficulty and the learning curve. The art is gorgeous, Simple graphics, that look amazing. The music and audio is appropriate, dramatic to mark a solve, ambient, setting a mood. But--- good news for Deaf and Hard Of Hearing players... NO audio needed to play and enjoy the game. There are no audio cues that must be noticed to solve the puzzles or progress. No spoken story, all of the story comes as text, concise, and not too wordy, during and after puzzles. You will need to read, nt a ton, but you will need to read, There are elements that are small, the hidden objects are well hidden at times, so the game may not be as good for gamers with vision issues. Within the game itself (not the launcher screen), the Options menu had good options for adjusting sound and graphics, but not a long list of things. The game runs well on a toaster, I ran o it on a Win7 64 bit Pro machine, AMD -4130 FX, NVIDIA 740 GT. The game ran smooth, no hitching or stuttering, the only "bug" I had was the ambient background music cutting out during a puzzle, unable to find repro steps, and it would come back if I restarted the puzzle or when I moved on to the next one. The story is a bit somber, the world is in ruins, and you are there to save it. The text-only story is well written, and not overly wordy. the ending felt a bit rushed or abrupt, but it fit the storyline. Just felt like there may have been a few details that got left out, or did not translate well from Polish to English. Other than the sending, the story was quite good for a game like this. 13 hours was my full playthrough, with 100% achievements unlocked. Yours may go faster or slower. I took my time. No guides or walkthroughs used, either one would likely cut your playtime down a good bit. My opinion? It is worth full price, a bargain if you get it on sale for a deep discount. Unless you don't like puzzle games. :)
